Wychmere Beach Club is proud to announce that our very own Executive Chef, Chris Kolwicz, has been selected as a featured chef at the prestigious 2025 Nantucket Wine & Food Festival, taking place May 14–18.
Now in its 26th year, the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival is one of the most anticipated culinary events in the country, drawing top chefs, winemakers, and food lovers from around the world to the iconic shores of Nantucket.
The 2025 lineup includes a dynamic mix of Michelin-starred chefs, James Beard Award winners, and celebrated regional talent, and Chef Chris is in extraordinary company.
For Wychmere, Chef Chris’s selection is a personal milestone and a reflection of our club’s deep commitment to exceptional culinary experiences.
A Chef, A Legacy
With over 24 years of service at Wychmere, Chef Chris Kolwicz is more than a chef—he’s a cornerstone of our culinary identity. His passion for food began in the kitchens of his childhood, cooking alongside his grandmother and mother.
That early spark led to a lifelong dedication to hospitality, shaped by formal training and years of experience in contemporary American and Mediterranean cuisine.
Known for his thoughtful approach to local ingredients and his ability to craft dishes that are as visually striking as they are delicious, Chef Chris has built a reputation rooted in creativity, consistency, and care.
He has led countless unforgettable weddings, celebrations , and signature events here at Wychmere—and now, he brings that same excellence to Nantucket’s culinary main stage.
Wychmere on the Festival Stage
Chef Chris’s appearance at the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival places Wychmere among the region’s most distinguished culinary destinations. His participation is a testament to our club’s elevated food philosophy, where quality, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients and guest experience are always top priorities.
From casual cocktails at the Beach Grill to elegant dinners in our oceanfront venues, Wychmere’s culinary program is designed to delight, and Chef Chris plays a pivotal role in shaping every menu, every flavor, and every moment.
We’re thrilled to see him recognized alongside culinary greats, including Lydia Shire of Scampo, Douglass Williams of MIDA, and David Charrier of Les Belles Perdrix in Bordeaux.
A Celebration of Craft and Community
Beyond the impressive lineup and coastal glamor, the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival is also about connection: between chefs and guests, between winemakers and food lovers, and between like-minded institutions that share a passion for hospitality. Chef Chris’s inclusion in the festival honors that connection and shines a spotlight on the incredible community here at Wychmere.
